Night’s abyss infinite,
The lights, they rage so full of life.
We gaze and gawk in awe of it.
We dance among Milky Way mist
Around stars playfully.
We swirl above the moonlit grass,
Which ripples gracefully.
Night air’s crisp perfume with bonfire
Fog and hearts burning bright
As embers, sparking at the touch
Of fingertips tonight.
The earth still spins and the night fades
Too soon into a morning haze
As our first days fall far behind
This sweet summer night’s daze.
