I am, throbbing everywhere,
it’s not just this heart heavy beating.
I try, but the nightmare is fleeting.
All lost to the blackness--
my worth, there is no redeeming.
I crawl from a dirty mattress
to pick up the remains,
try to fill this empty canvas.
There is no washing these stains
so, I keep dragging round these chains.
